Rare Antique Chamberlain Worcester Dessert Plates: Celeste Blue Border Gilded Scalloped Rims 1846 Medallion

Offered are three rare Chamberlain Worcester dessert plates.
The border is in the stunning celeste blue, surrounded by molded scalloped rims in gilding.
These plates were produced when impressed marks were often used, as is the case here.
The registration mark indicates the year of manufacture to be 1846.
This rare set has a timeless quality.
Family heirloom.

HISTORY:
Chamberlain Worcester was one of the porcelain makers at the Worcester factory.
Thomas Grainger and Company began manufacturing porcelain in 1806 to supply the lower end of the market.
They were one of three porcelain makers for Worcester and continued production until 1902.
After their beginning, they soon became the competition for Chamberlain and Barr and Flight and Barr porcelain makers
at Worcester. The Chamberlain's quality and skill of craftsmanship are evident in the plates listed.

Overall, the plates are in excellent antique condition.
