HISTORY:
All pieces bear the circular garter-type belt mark with a crown above.
This is the mark of William Fairbairns and Sons, a partner with china and earthenware manufacturers Hanley and Longton, Stoke-on-Trent.
The quality of their china is comparable to that of Minton and Derby from 1863 to 1865.
The beautiful gilding is extensive and engraved, giving the overall design a neoclassical feel.
The gilding on the double monogram is done in gold and silver for a unique finished look.

CONDITION:
The condition is excellent, with no chips, cracks, or crazing.
There are some places showing fading of the gilt.
