$960.00
12 botanical Copeland Spode dinner plates with a spring green border.
Hand-painted scattered florals.
Molded, scalloped, and gilded rims.
The rim design is an excellent indicator of the maker of these plates.
This rim is seen in many other Spode patterns.
Timeless quality.
MEASUREMENTS:
The plates are shy of 10 inches at 9 3/4 inches in diameter.
HISTORY:
From 1847 to 1970, the company was owned outright by the Copeland family and often showed a variation of Copeland, which was often used in conjunction with the Spode name on the back stamp.
From the late 1800s to 1963, impressed marks were used to date the pieces. A letter indicated the month, and two numbers reflected the year.
CONDITION:
They are in excellent condition.
No chips, cracks, or crazing.
Hand wash for the best care.
These plates would be excellent for a nice garden meal of fresh vegetables or fruit.
