Offered is a rare antique Davenport set featuring 6 hand-painted botanical dessert plates.

Each plate shows a different floral bouquet of spring flowers.

This masterful creation is embellished with an unusual gilded scalloped rim with an added pierced.

This application makes a distinctive effect.

Finally, these masterpieces were manufactured between 1815 and 1830. They are all marked with the anchor mark on the back.

They have a timeless quality and can be heirlooms.

HISTORY;
Antique Davenport Porcelain (1794-1887)

This important Staffordshire factory was situated at Longport and run by John Davenport.

Originally an earthenware pottery establishment, it began to make good-quality porcelain of hybrid hard-paste type c. 1800, and from about 1810 onwards it contented on bone china tea and dessert services.

In the early part of the 19th century, Davenport produced products of superb quality rivaling Spode, Swansea, and any other English manufacturer.

The factory produced some especially elegant Empire-style tea wares also.

Davenport porcelain body and decoration are of a very high standard and many unmarked pieces can be found incorrectly labeled "Rockingham".

CONDITION:
Great condition with no chips or cracks.
