Offered are11 botanical Copeland Spode dinner plates with a wide scalloped soft green border.
The border surrounds hand-painted center fruit florals which are finished with embossed gilt design rims.
The rim design features gilded and scalloped rims.
The quality of these plates is a definite feature.
MEASUREMENTS:
The plates are 10 5/8 inches in diameter.
HISTORY:
From 1847 to 1970 the company was owned outright by the Copeland family and many times showed a variation of Copeland often used in conjunction with the Spode name on the back stamp.
From the late 1800s to 1963 impressed marks were used to date the pieces. A letter to indicate the month and 2 numbers to reflect the year.
CONDITION:
They are in great condition. No chips, cracks.
There are a few indications of scratches.
It does not take away from the quality and integrity of these antique dishes.
