11 botanical Copeland Spode dinner plates with a wide scalloped soft green border.
The border surrounds hand-painted enameled center fruit florals finished with embossed gilt design rims.
The rim design features gilded and scalloped rims.
The quality of these plates is a definite feature.
Family heirloom.
MEASUREMENTS:
The plates are 10 5/8 inches in diameter.
HISTORY:
From 1847 to 1970 the company was owned outright by the Copeland family and many times showed a variation of Copeland often used in conjunction with the Spode name on the back stamp.
From the late 1800s to 1963, impressed marks were used to date the pieces. A letter indicated the month, and two numbers reflected the year.
CONDITION:
They are in excellent condition.
No chips, crack, or crazing.
Just a few scratches.
It keeps the quality and integrity of these antique dishes.
