HISTORY:
The history of the Flight and Barr Worcester china manufacturer involves a partnership that began in 1783 when Thomas Flight bought the struggling Worcester porcelain factory. After the death of Thomas Flight, his two sons, Joseph and John, took over and brought accountant Martin Barr in as a partner in 1792.
The firm later became Flight Bar & Barr when Martin Barr's sons, Martin Jr. and George, joined the business.
This partnership was renowned for producing high-quality porcelain, developing new glazes, and creating customized services for wealthy clients, even gaining a Royal Warrant in 1788.
The company later merged with Chamberlain in 1840.

CONDITION:
The plates are in excellent antique condition overall, with no chips, cracks, or crazing.
There are some minimal gilt fading and scratches from age and use.
