3 Antique Late Foley Shelley Teacups and Saucers w Green Swags, Greek Key Band, Circa 1910 1916

Offered is a stunning Late Foley Shelley set of 3 teacups with matching saucers.
The set features a green garland.
The skill of the design and the beautiful intense color are outstanding features.
There is a skillful wide gilded band of the Greek key at the rim of every piece.
The overall design pays tribute to the Neoclassic style.

HISTORY:
Shelley China's beginning manufacturing date was 1827.
It had a long, successful run to its closing in 1966.
There are collector societies in England, Australia, and the USA.
From 1910-1916, the words "Late Foley" were added to some pieces to represent the history of the pottery.
This was also when the recognizable Shelley shield was first used.

MEASUREMENTS:
Three teacups stand 2 1/4 inches tall
and measures 3 7/8 inches at the mouth
Four saucers measure 5 3/4 inches in diameter


A maker's mark on each piece authenticates its manufacture between 1910 and 1916.
The most skillful painters were used to execute this pattern and apply the paint consistently.

Overall, the condition is excellent.
No chips, cracks, or crazing.
