The pottery was situated in Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire, England.
Henry Daniel (1765-1841) was an enameller and color maker. From 1805 to 1822, he ran a business within the Spode factory before setting up his own factory.
Henry began his business in 1822, and his son Richard joined him in 1826.
The business known as H & R Daniel continued until 1846, when it ceased due to insolvency.
Daniel's wares were said to be on par with the best hand-painted porcelain of the time.
Prestigious customers included the Earl of Shrewsbury and the Duke of Clarence(later William IV.)
