HISTORY:
Royal Worcester was established in 1751 and is believed to be the oldest or the second-oldest English porcelain brand still in existence today.
(Flight Barr&Barr)
1783 Thomas Flight bought the factory. During this period the quality of the product diminished some so he decided to take on a partner.
1792, Martin Barr became a partner and later groomed his two sons, Martin Jr. and George, to run the company.
The 1807 Chamberlain Period lasted until 1902.
The 18th and 19th centuries showed great success however the latter half of the 20th century shows a gradual decline in the earlier quality.
CONDITION:
There are no chips, repairs, or staining.
On the taller compote, there is some crazing on the base and a hairline in the well of the plateau.
Overall the set is in good antique condition.
