The pair has a peach border and a beautifully hand-painted floral center.

The floral painting is on a gilded background for added drama.

The design is finished with a gilded scalloped edge.

The manufacture date for this pair is 1827.

HISTORY:
The Alcock bone china body is good quality, well-potted, and richly decorated.
In 1833, the factory employed more than 400 people, and their 20 Kilns equaled those in use by Minton.
Most of their porcelains between 1830 and 1840 are unmarked.
This is why the firm is so little known and often mistaken for Rockingham or Coalport.
The quality is there --but not the maker's mark. There is a pattern number.
These numbers quickly increased, and a fractional pattern number was introduced, i.e., 1/1234.


CONDITION:
No chips, cracks, crazing, or discoloration.
Minor color loss in a few areas due to stacking.
This issue does not take away the beauty of these porcelain pieces.
