Eight antique Royal Worcester dinner plates manufactured in 1915 are offered.
The plates are decorated with hand-painted pink leaves, rims, and deep rose florals,
There is an elaborate gold overlay to complete the luxurious look.
These plates measure 10 3/8 inches in diameter.
HISTORY:
The standard printed factory mark includes the number 51 in the center, which refers to 1751, when Dr. John Wall founded the Worcester Porcelain Company. The mark can appear in any color and on a variety of materials.
The marks almost always included a code to indicate the year of manufacture. From 1891, pieces were coded with a system of dots and/or symbols with the addition of the words "Royal Worcester England".
