Offered are 5 rare Chamberlain Worcester dinner plates in AS IS condition.
The border is in the stunning celeste blue surrounded by molded scalloped rims in gilding.
These plates were produced during the time impressed marks were used often as is the case here.
The registration mark indicates the year of manufacture to be 1846.
Two plates show the printed registration mark and three plates show the impressed marks.

HISTORY:
Chamberlain Worcester was one of the porcelain makers at the Worcester factory.
Thomas Grainger and Company began manufacturing porcelain in 1806 to supply the lower end of the market.
They were one of three porcelain makers for Worcester and continued production until 1902.
After their beginning, they soon became the competition for Chamberlain and Barr and Flight and Barr porcelain makers
at Worcester. The Chamberlain's quality and skill of craftsmanship are evident in the plates listed.
CONDITION:
Overall good structural condition.
There are no chips and no crazing on 4 plates.
One plate has crazing with a tight short hairline.
There is discoloration to a substantial extent on 3 plates.
The set will be priced accordingly.
Please hand wash for the best care.
