Rare pink antique Limoges botanical china set
Featuring eight hand-painted pink soup plates and a lidded soup tureen
Imported by Lewis Strauss and Sons during the turn of the century.
During this period, this major importer for European crystal and porcelain products to the US.
The soup tureen was associated with the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York as reported by the antique dealer who sold this piece to me.
Features a wide pink border with gilt-trimmed scalloped rims
Hand-painted florals are different for each bowl.
MEASUREMENTS;
8 soup plates measure 7 1/4 inches in diameter.
The soup tureen bowl measures 5 3/4 by 8 1/2 inches and 6 1/2 inches tall with the lid.
CONDITION:
Excellent antique condtion.
There is some gilt fading on some of the pieces.
Hand washes for the best care.
The 9th photo shows dinner plates in a similar pattern that sold recently.
