From the 19th century, it was elegantly finished with detailed gilt trim.
There is no maker's mark, which is a custom during this period.
A handwritten pattern number, 9652, and an impressed registration mark indicate the year.
The exact year is not legible.
It could have been manufactured at one of the prominent English companies, Minton or Coalport.
The craftsmanship and skillful quality of the design suggest that it was a major manufacturer of the period.
