Offered are nine scalloped dinner plates manufactured by Copelands China and retailed at:

LONDON
Decorated with extensive gilding on the gadrooned rims.
Accented with graceful bells hand-painted in swags along the border.
Designs are highlighted on a crisp white ground.
HISTORY:
From 1847 to 1970, the company was owned by the Copeland family and showed a variation of Copeland often used in conjunction with the Spode name on the back stamp many times.
From the late 1800s to 1963, impressed marks were used to date the pieces.
A letter to indicate the month and two numbers to reflect the year.
These plates have an impressive mark, showing the manufacturing date was 1890.
In 1866, Copeland Spode was appointed a china and glass manufacturer to the Prince of Wales( the future King Edward VII.
MEASUREMENTS:
They measure 10 1/4 inches in diameter.
CONDITION:
Excellent condition.
No dishwasher or microwave.
