Exceptional 18th-century English porcelain bowl, circa 1770.
The original piece is rare and is attributed to early Worcester.
The original use meant for containing chestnuts and the pierced lid to allow the heat to escape.
Use for display today or for potpourri.
Complimented with hand-painted floral medallions applied around the body of the base piece and the pierced lid.
Elaborate skill in the design and decoration makes this set a great candidate for display.
Heirloom Quality meant to be passed down.
MEASUREMENTS:
The base piece measures 7 3/8 inches in diameter.
The piece stands 9 inches tall with the lid and 3 1/2 inches without the lid.
CONDITION:
No chips or cracks.
A hairline is shown in the photos.
