A 12-piece antique pink English dessert set service for seven with a hand-painted botanical center is offered.
A pair of matching compotes and a lidded sauce tureen.
Set has lovely designed gilded scalloped rims on all pieces.
Set has the quality and craftsmanship of one of the significant manufacturers, Minton or Spode.
I have a smaller set in green attributed to Minton, with a pattern number of 5212/A.
The pattern number for this set is 6170/A.
Circa 1873.
Family heirloom.
Wedding gift.
MEASUREMENTS:
Seven plates. 9 inches
Two low competes plateau is 9 inches in diameter and 2 1/2 inches tall.
One sauce tureen is 6 1/2 inches tall, 8 inches from handle to handle
One underplate is 7 1/2 inches in diameter
CONDITION:
Set in excellent antique condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing.
There is some fading near the inner ring on the plates.
About the sauce tureen, there are more age issues;
some discoloration, fine lines, and a hairline that does reach down in the bowl. Display only for this piece
