This stunning 14-piece English dessert set is offered.
The antique dealer who sold them to me said the dessert plates and cake stand were attributed to Ridgeway.
The pieces are unmarked, a custom in the early 19th century.
The quality and craftsmanship indicate a significant manufacturer of the period produced the set.
The rim design is a lovely feature, showing the mixture of gilding skill and all the colors in the set.
The pretty green leaves are masterfully painted with the accent of berries.
This feature makes the set perfect for the Christmas table.
Family heirloom.
CONDITION:
The condition is shown in the photos. No chips or cracks.
There is fading in various areas of the gilding.
There are hairlines on the base of one of the cake stands, but there is no evidence of them in other places.
Hand wash for the best care.
