Ten Turquoise Copeland Spode dinner plates.
Green leaves, jeweled beading, and gold rims.
These classically styled plates are perfect for mixing and matching for versatile table settings.
According to the backmark, manufacturing took place sometime between 1891 and 1932.
MEASUREMENTS:
The plates are significant at 10 3/8 inches in diameter.
HISTORY:
From 1847 to 1970, the company was owned by the Copeland family and showed a variation of Copeland often used in conjunction with the Spode name on the back stamp many times.
From the late 1800s to 1963, impressed marks were used to date the pieces—a letter indicated the month, and two numbers reflected the year.
CONDITION:
The plates are in excellent antique condition.
There are no chips, cracks, or crazing.
