This listing features ten 19th-century Coalport dinner plates.
They are decorated with creamy-white ground and an encrusted gold border.
Circa 1890s.
HISTORY:
At the end of the 18th century, Coalport was a small settlement noted for producing ceramics since Roman times.
John Rose operated a china manufacturing enterprise.
This Coalport factory was a market leader in the early 1800s.
CONDITION:
Overall, it is in excellent condition.
The embossed gilding is in excellent condition.
There is a small amount of fading where the gold inner ring is located, probably due to stacking.
Hand washes are needed for the best care to maintain that gold border
The plates would be great displayed in a cabinet.
These plates are 10 1/4 inches in diameter.

These plates are from my personal collection.
They were an early purchase when I was starting out on my journey in antiques.
