1860 Soft Pale Pink English Dessert Set w Hand Painted White Jeweled Beading and Gilded Accents, Timeless and Heirloom Quality

8-piece stunning antique English traditional dessert set manufactured in the mid-19th century.
The center has different hand-painted topographical landscapes on each plate and cake stand.
The delicate pink border is decorated with white jeweled beading and gilt embellishments.
The china for this listing is of excellent quality, and the design and colors are still vivid.
Family heirloom.

MEASUREMENTS:
Six plates measure 8 3/4 inches in diameter.
Two compotes measure 9 1/4 inches in diameter.


The antique dealer who sold this set said it is attributed to John Ansley, and the impressed mark confirms this.
There is also a pattern number 1899. See photo.


HISTORY:
The Ansley Company was founded in 1775 by John Ansley in Land End, Longton, Staffordshire, England.
This company is a favored supplier of the British royal family.
Queen Elizabeth II and Diana, Princess of Wales, chose Aynsley china as a wedding present from the British china industry.


CONDITION:
The condition is excellent, with no cracks or chips found.
One of the tazzas has a wee bit of crazing and a small area of fading in the rim dentil gilding.
None of these minor issues detract from the beauty and stability of the set.
