This is an assembled dinnerware set with service for eight.
The eight dinner plates are Royal Worcester mint green border embellished with extensive gilt decoration.
The plates are also decorated in the center with hand-painted florals of pink, lavender, and yellow blossoms.
The teacup sets made in Portugal include nine teacups and nine matching saucers made in Portugal between 1922 and 1947.
The mint green is almost a perfect match for the dinner plates.
The elegant decorative style is also equally matched.
Family heirloom.
DIMENSIONS:
Each dinner plate measures 10 1/2 inches in diameter and is bone china.
The teacups can hold four ounces.
HISTORY:
The standard printed factory mark included 51 in the center, which refers to 1751, when Dr. John Wall founded the Worcester Porcelain Company.
The mark can appear in any color and a variety of materials.
The marks almost always included a code to indicate the year of manufacture.
From 1891, pieces were coded with a system of dots and symbols with the addition of the words "Royal Worcester England."
CONDITION:
The vintage condition of the dinner plates and the teacup sets is excellent.
There are no chips, cracks, or crazing, and they seem to have had little to no use.
Hand washes for the best care.
