Vintage Limoges Dinnerware: Hand-Painted Blue Cornflowers 19 Pieces Service for 4 Circa 1920

Offered is a rare 25-piece assembled antique French dinnerware service for 4.

It features four dinner plates, six teacups, six saucers, two large platters, and a serving bowl.

The set is decorated with hand-painted and enameled blue cornflowers ( a favorite of Marie Antoinette).

Marie Antoinette's fondness for the blue cornflower established a rare and romantic pattern.

It is beautifully finished with gilded rims.

The two large platters and the bowl are marked J Pouyat Limoges circa 1906- 1932.

The other pieces are also French, and the pattern ties everything together.

Four dinner plates are 9 3/4 inches in diameter
Six demitasse teacups
Six saucers
Three teacups with deep saucers
One platter is 18 inches
The second platter is 15 3/4 inches
The serving bowl is 8X 9 3/4 inches

The deep saucers for the larger teacups were repaired from
Porcelain manufactured between 1906 and 1932 will have acquired some minor imperfections.
