Charming china set featuring antique H.R. Daniel dessert cake plates and a teacup and saucer.
Circa 1820 Regency period.
The cake plates have an unusual asymmetrical shape and a scalloped edge, perfect at tea time.
The decoration consists of a blue grid filled with gold feathers for a plaid effect.
They are finished off with a beautiful hand-painted floral center and eyelet accents.
They measure 9 3/4 inches by 8 7/8 inches. The pattern number is
The teacup and saucer have the same blue grid plaid effect.
They are unmarked.
There is a pattern number for the cake plates, 2989.
This rare set would make a unique wedding gift.
CONDITION:
The plates are in good antique condition, with one showing a tiny chip under the edge.
They show no cracks.
The saucer shows some crazing.
Overall, the set is in good antique condition.
Any set this old will have acquired some minor imperfections over 100 years that may not be noted.
