HISTORY:
German porcelain manufacturer, Schwarzburg Porzellanfabrik (later known as Schwarzburg & Co)
That produced high-quality porcelain particularly in the early 20th century.
It featured both utilitarian and artistic pieces.
The company was based in Thuringia, Germany and had roots in the Straus & Sohne
which was established in 1869.They focused on tableware, decorative pieces, figurines with floral designs
and portraiture.
Scwarzburg's shield mark dates from 1904 to 1924 before the "Royal" was added.
The company closed in 1929.
Porcelain from tis company is much sought -after by collectors.
