Antique teal blue Murano art glass tea set for 2 with the teapot sometimes called a tete a tete is attributed to Fratelli Toso Millefiori.
The set has a total of 8 pieces.
MEASUREMENTS:
Teapot w lid 8 1/2 inches handle to spout,5 1/2 inches Tall with lid, 3 5/8 inches tall without lid
creamer. 4 inches tall
sugar bowl no lid 2 1/2 inches tall
2 cups 2 3/8 inches. tall
2 saucers. 5 inches in diameter
Set is typical of the fine millefiori work produced by Fratelli Toso during the early 1900s ( 1900 - 1910). Unique form is beautifully executed with a mosaic of multi-colored bundles in a variety of different care arrangements.
Bundles are fused against a teal-blue border.
Handles on the teapot, cups, creamer, and teapot base are decorated with fused canes.
Exterior of all pieces has the typical acid finish, which gives the surface a soft matte/satin finish, while the interior of the teapot, creamer, and sugar bowl has a glossy finish.
Teapot's lid and spout show some repair work. The other pieces show no chips and appear to be in great condition.
Best use for cabinet display.
CONDITION:
Please no dishwasher and do not submerge the set totally in water. Wipe with a damp cloth to clean.
