Four hand- painted lavender Copeland Spode dessert plates with an unusual black-and-white design around the rim of a ram's head and floral swags are offered.
The border is completed with embossed gilt scalloped designed rims.
The color combination is the most striking feature, balancing the soft lavender and contrasting it with the black-and-white rim design.
It is mesmerizing. You cannot stop looking at it.
Family heirloom.
The quality of these plates is a definite feature.
The pattern number is R 6128.
MEASUREMENTS:
The plates are nine inches in diameter.
HISTORY:
From 1847 to 1970 the company was owned outright by the Copeland family and many times showed a variation of Copeland often used in conjunction with the Spode name on the back stamp.
From the late 1800s to 1963, impressed marks were used to date the pieces. A letter indicated the month, and two numbers reflected the year.

They are in excellent condition.
