Vintage Paragon Chrysanthemums Teacup Set: Pastel Shades Gilt Rim Elegant Wedding Gift for Bride

The set is decorated with spring chrysanthemums in various pastel shades on both the teacup and the saucer.
The bowl of each teacup matches the outer ground color.

There are two extra teacups and one extra saucer.

CONDITION:
Each set is in excellent condition, with just a small amount of discoloration in the bowl on one teacup.
There are no chips or crazing.
One teacup has a hairline.


HISTORY:
Paragon produced bone china from 1919 to 1960.
This company was based in Longton, Stoke-on-Trent, previously known as The Star China Company.
Paragon manufactured high-quality china and was granted Royal Warrant appointments by several members of the British Royal Family.
The predecessor, the Star China Company, was founded in 1897 by Herbert Aynsley and Hugh Irving.
Royal Doulton eventually acquired it in the 1960s.
However, the name Paragon has been sustained mainly by designs based on traditional floral patterns.
Unfortunately, the early Paragon pattern books are presumed lost; however, collectors still seek after the Royal Commemorative designs.


DIMENSIONS:
Nine teacups measure 2 1/2 inches tall and 4 inches at the mouth.
Nine saucers measure 5 1/2 inches.


CONDITION:
The condition of all the pieces is excellent.
The Spode dessert plates appear to be unused.
There are no chips, cracks, or crazing.
