MEASUREMENTS:
The plate measures 9 3/8 inches and is heavy with a dense texture.
HISTORY:
The standard printed factory mark includes the number 51 in the center, which refers to 1751 when Dr. John Wall founded the Worcester Porcelain Company. The mark can appear in any color and on a variety of materials.
The marks almost always included a code to indicate the year of manufacture. From 1891, pieces were coded with a system of dots and/or symbols with the addition of the words "Royal Worcester England."
CONDITION:
This plate is in excellent antique condition.
No chips, cracks, or crazing.
Any china manufactured during this time of over 100 years may have some minor imperfections not noted.
Hand washes for the best care.
It could be displayed in a cabinet or on the wall.
