Offered are two large antique French platters.
It features large platers in two sizes.
They are decorated with hand-painted and enameled blue cornflowers ( a favorite of Marie Antoinette).
Marie Antoinette's fondness for the blue cornflower established a rare and romantic pattern.
They are beautifully finished with gilded rims.
The pair is marked J Pouyat Limoges circa 1906- 1932. See photos.
The simplicity of the pattern gives it a modern feel for timeless elegance!

The larger platter measures 14 X 18 inches.
The smaller of the two platters measures 12 X 15 1/2 inches.

Limoges is an area in France where most porcelain factories are located.
Collectors have known for years that Limoges porcelain is the definition of top-quality porcelain.
It is also distinguished for hand-decorated unique pattern sets rather than multiple sets of one pattern.
The double marks on all pieces of the same lot indicate that they were made at the factory in France and decorated by artisans there.
This history adds to the value of the Limoges porcelain, decorated in France.
CONDITION:
This platters are in excellent antique condition, with no chips, cracks, or crazing.
Porcelain manufactured between 1906 and 1932 will have acquired some minor imperfections.
