Four Antique Copeland Spode Dinner Plates with Hand-Painted Jeweled Florals Gift for Collector

They are decorated in a high level of detail; using exquisite hand-painting, enameling and jeweling.
Also featured are molded, scalloped, and gilded rims.
The rim design is an excellent indicator of the maker of these plates.
This rim is seen in one other Spode listing.
The pattern number 7847 was introduced in 1848.

MEASUREMENTS:
The plates are shy of 10 inches at 9 3/4 inches in diameter.

HISTORY:
From 1847 to 1970, the company was owned by the Copeland family and often showed a variation of Copeland, often used in conjunction with the Spode name on the back stamp.
From the late 1800s to 1963, impressed marks were used to date the pieces. A letter indicated the month, and two numbers reflected the year.

They are in excellent condition.
No chips, cracks, or crazing.
