Rare Antique Chamberlain Worcester Armorial Dinner Plates: Lion Crest Gilded Scalloped Rims 19th Century

Offered are seven rare English dinner plates.
The unusual, molded, scalloped, gilded rim is a stunning feature, along with the lion crest and motto.
The motto reads: "Universa Benevolentia" and means goodwill, kindness, and a friendly disposition extended towards all beings.
While all seven plates are in the same pattern, they were manufactured at different times.
The three oldest plates, Chamberlain Worcester, were manufactured around 1845.
The four more recent plates were manufactured in 1901.
The set is rare and possesses a timeless quality, making it a suitable candidate for a family heirloom.
Use for special occasions like Christmas or Thanksgiving!

HISTORY:
Chamberlain Worcester was one of the porcelain makers at the Worcester factory.
Thomas Grainger and Company began manufacturing porcelain in 1806 to supply the lower end of the market.
They were one of three porcelain makers for Worcester and continued production until 1902.
After their beginning, they soon became the competition for Chamberlain and Barr, and Flight and Barr porcelain makers at Worcester.
The Chamberlain's quality and skill of craftsmanship are evident in the plates listed.

CONDITION:
These plates are in excellent antique condition.
Truly a find.
The older plates show a small amount of fading on the center medallion.
