$495.00
A two-piece chins set featuring a turquoise dessert plate and dessert cake stand is offered.
The set features a bold, gilded ribbon decorated with a hand-painted garland of spring flowers.
This design is both stunning and sophisticated, perfect for display or when entertaining.
While there is no manufacturer's mark, I believe the set to be Minton because of the pattern number.
The exquisite craftsmanship skill of decoration , the set is worthy of becoming a family heirloom.
HISTORY:
Thomas Minton (1765-1836)
Thomas moved to Stoke, England, in 1793 and opened his newly built factory in 1796. He went on to become Spode's nearest rival.
The Minton factory was the most popular supplier of dinnerware made to order for embassies and heads of state in the 19th century.
The name continues to the present day as part of the Waterford, Wedgwood, and Royal Doulton Group.
In the 1820s, Thomas Minton started producing bone china; this early Minton is regarded as comparable to French Sevres.
